Old one's off, gotta clean up the fittings and reassemble.

This is a fantastic car (as if you didn’t know). One of my favourites. Keep it up.

Pedal height set correctly. Stops the master bottoming out and keeps the pedals level.
Started on shoe adjustment but ran out of time.

It would be nicer if the new cylinder had the cast writing on it.
But I suppose working brakes are more important.
Keep up the good work.

I don't know if the Delco cast one is original or not.
Yes, it would be nice to retain but that one can always be reamed and sleeved, the end unscrews and makes it really easy to machine all the way through (unlike many, which are a blind hole).
I'll settle for working brakes though, yes.
Work today was scuppered by it being cold and me being lazy. So I went to town and bought some things for the house that I need instead.

Today is quite cold, as shown here by the creation of copious clouds as the car warmed up a little as I was closing up the garage.

Reason? I actually had to go to the office today- starting back up projects that got stalled back in November by the weather.

It must be great to be getting some proper use out of this now?

It is nice to be able to be behind the wheel again, yes.
Obviously we can't go far, but in the cooler weather the gears are behaving and the car runs more smoothly.

I broke down today!

One end cap was loose and had twisted when I put it in last. That weakened the fusible link and today it burned out when I put the indicators on.
Replaced, back in business.
