Ahh I’ll have a look in the week, it’s gone off anyway but worth checking.

I did all the filters and gearbox oil 6 months ago too, brake fluid 12 ago. It needs little else really and I’m of the fix it when it breaks opinion on this. The gears were much improved by the fluid. It’ll need a clutch this year I think.

It's nowt to worry about, it's something like an aborted regen cycle and the flash is to warn of fuel contamination, obvs it's not actually regenning so the flashy light can do one.

Betty did 220 miles in this on Thursday to collect pooch and chickens. And I’ve done another 100+ today. Love this as a car.

Clocked another 150 tonight (so now in about 144,200 visiting birthday present recipients with the little pooch at my side. Really love travelling with a dog, they don’t talk shit and constantly want the heating on too high.

MPGs at 41.7 average after Mrs B (she who can’t change up the box) ruined my good 45+ mpg average with a week of 3rd/4th gear nobbery.

Put some petrol in your own car woman.

Back in the uk for a couple of days I went to fire this up and the battery has shit itself. Managed to jam an old leisure battery in the gap by popping the fuse box off its mounts.

£45 for a new 096, that’s going to be shit isn’t it.

Running totals.

£45 new battery + £805.93/14 -£239 ctb

£43.71 per month, getting dear this! It’s getting nothing for the next few months now.

Maybe I should do what my accountant does and inflate its value to £500 so I can deduct more.

I managed to ram a massive old leisure battery in temporarily so I could get out and about in the uk to panic buy bog rolls and beans etc.

Look at the size of that mutha, I had to pop the little fuse box off it’s mounts to get it in. Also the OSF cv joint is clicking after its 7-8 hours of overloaded travel back to France the poor fella. Hoping it’ll limp on for a while yet as so much easier travelling to the shops in it than the massive van we have.

I'm surprised a leisure batt has the CCA to start it.

It’s a monster 150ah German gel thing. The new 096 is still in the box awaiting fitting.
