The nice soft green light with white on black dials from a proper English car is the most restful to my eyes.

Note also the valuable illuminated ignition key switch. They had it all.

Shit, abroad or is the sensor in direct sunlight? The old vectra c we had had the sensor on front bumper and if facing the sun would read 40s onwards on a hot day but quickly plummet when moving.

Re: What did you do today?
120 miles covered today in the c15 van will no nasty noises. i'm calling that fixed! The cause of one of it's noises turned out to be a rust hole through the bulkhead that began making a whistling/whirring noise when you got over 30mph. A quick fix was some silicone in the hole, the proper fix will involve dashboard out, screen out and some intricate welding. I've ordered a new screen rubber so I can jut cut the screen out, less chance of breakage hopefully then. I've also collected a visa drivers door which needs a few repairs and a scuttle panel to use as a repair section for said hole. The suspension on the van is fantastic, so soft it just soaks the bumps up, along with the typically squidgy french seats makes the perfect vehicle for someone like me with a knackered spine.
