Re: What did you do today?
Had the uprated springs and shockers fitted yesterday. The arch gap now matches the front.

That's loaded up too. The bloke I bought them off reckons they're good for four tons
There's a campervan company pays him to fit air bag suspension to new vans before they fit them out. He flogs the full kit including shock, U bolts and spring assisters for £260.
Cost me £240 to have them fitted with a new passenger cv boot after getting a silicone gun wrapped around the drive shaft.

Re: What did you do today?
So had the whole job done for about the same price as a pair of upgraded spings cost to buy.

Re: What did you do today?
Three of my friends from Czechia are in Malaga for a week (they shipped their bikes here) and invited me to join them. They also decided that because I live in Spain, I can lead the group (I live 500kms east of here). Thank fuck for little magic boxes that direct you between A and F, via B, C, D and E.
Today we rode to Gibraltar, great road south, very fast and empty. Haven't been to Gibraltar for about 10 years, when I spent a month working there. It's still as awful as I remembered it to be, but they enjoyed it.
We are staying just north of Ronda for a few days. The A397 from Marbella to Ronda, touted as a great biking road, was absolutely shit, nose to tail traffic all the way. Thank the Lord we moving on to Almeria to ride the much better, quieter roads, including the Spanish Stelvio which I think we will ride a few times a few times

That's the most active Hooli has ever been I guess, apart from when he's dropping bikes on himself in Romania(?)

Gib is like a council estate around a hill isn't it? Quaint and charming aren't words I'd use for it.

It was quite nice in January though, must be hell in the summer. I wasn't impressed with how neglected the Trafalgar cemetery was either.Jerzy Woking wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 9:09 pmPrecisely as I see it, so thank youHooli wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 7:21 pm Gib is like a council estate around a hill isn't it? Best part of Gibraltar was the traffic lights. You could actually see them in the sunshine.
The rest of it, meh. Bit like being in Birmingham but sunny.
