What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Yes. Aged 10, I was impressed by TR7 pop up headlights. As you get older, you should* get wiser.

I still would

Unlike a TR7, that mechanism untouched from the factory will still likely work after 26 years.

Unlike a TR7, it hasn't improved style wise with age. There is a reason they are worth fuck all.

Yeah right, TR7 are fugly. At least a CRX Del Sol has a cutesy appearance to them.

TR7 aren't exactly worth a huge amount either...

Almost certainly a stupid question but wouldn't a simple lift out Targa roof have done the same job?

Thanks for your help.

It seems pretty obvious to me but obviously not to you.
It just seems like needless complication.

Of course it is. Because it will go wrong no matter who makes it.
Jap stuff is good as A to B transport. Probably the best there is. But that appalling plastic and velour they use inside and the tinnyness…..no thanks. There is nothing about old Rice that would encourage me to preserve one except a 240Z or an NSX.

It's unusual for Honda to have such extravagance mechatronics operation in their body mechanical design. Certainly the appeal of the car is down to that clever roof. Yes it does go wrong but very rarely, especially compared to others of that era.

Yes it could have been manual and so could the windows have manual winders.
