We’ve had two of these, a standard one and a Works straight after. They really were fantastic little cars.

Re: What did you do today?
My other half's lad is selling his Bini Cooper S on an '04 plate. He has had it a couple of years and stuck a hell of a lot of miles on it (now on 130ish thou I think). He has spent a fortune on it over the 2 and a bit years he has had is. Full stainless sports exhaust, new clutch, wheel bearings, shocks, brakes inc calipers, power steering pump and lots of servicing. It has always used a bit of oil but he has never let it get low. It was an unusual one as it has a different dash to most of them but I can't remember what "pack" it is. It has hardly been used since January when he got his new car and has been too lazy to do anything about selling it. I expect I will have to go pick it up and sell it for him before too long. Bloody youth of today too busy to sell their own shit rant !

One and two respectively. We bought the wheels while we had our first one and kept them for the second.

Jus a bit overspray on the window rubber or the angle. It's spot on in real life.

It's bang on and exactly the same as the passenger side. Tits.

E36 Coupe off to be recycled having been comprehensively stripped. Most of the valuable bits sold already.

Never stripped a car for parts. Maybe the E28 will give me a chance to give that a go, depending what happens on Tuesday.

Re: What did you do today?
Greased the Minor and attempted a repair on the torn seat leather in the Cowley. Minor job went well, the prop u/js were lined up like lucky stars for once instead of facing the top of the transmission tunnel, made my customary mess topping up the front dampers. Less sure about the seat repair, I think it is too big a split and the leather is too thin. I had this retrimmed a few years back and insisted on using old scrapyard seat covers which in retrospect wasn't a great move but I hate retrimmed cars - particularly when the rest of it looks like it has been dug up.
On the positive side I cannot fuck it up any worse than it is and there are a couple more bodges I can do if need be......
I've also toffee-hammered the chassis legs on the Minor and no cornflakes have appeared so I will get some more Dynax in there on a nice hot day.
