That looks nice.
I remember when they first came out our sales director had one of the first UK ones. We used the same advertising agency as Porsche so apparently there was some sort of a deal made.

Went to Lidl to buy a bird feeding station but they were out of stock.
So I bought a plasma cutter instead.

Went to the car auctions tonight. Porsche Cayenne £1800. Hand was twitching. Ugly things but big V8 cancels that out.

Re: What did you do today?
I got a call off my parents asking 'why would a 4x4 have the front propshaft removed?'
Yup, they've bought a Jeep Cherokee & it's got a fucked transferbox... WTF they want it for is beyond me to start with, but they've sodding owned one before, of the same age so WHY didn't they notice the 4WD light on the dash until I asked about it?
FFS.
Private sale btw, so no comebacks.

You're right. Last time I used one, they were owned by Fram Group and were very good. Then ECP bought the name not long ago. A Mann filter has been purchased.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 7:26 pmYou may as well stick them on the shelf. They'd be hee haw use on a car...The Reverend Bluejeans wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 5:41 pm I bought three Crosland BMW oil filters for a couple of quid from ECP. For that I'll stick them on the shelf.

When the V8 runs, that is. But for that $$$ you can run out until it breaks, and then break it some more. Probably 2 grand in bits. Boosters are worth fuck all as well. Only 911's are worth proper money.

Crosland filters not what they used to be eh? Like when Wix were made by Crompton Parkinson. The good old days.

Re: What did you do today?
Had a phone call yesterday morning from my other half saying the clutch didn't feel right on her 807. It then promptly packed in entirely and got towed down to my workshop. I am glad I have a ramp as doing one of these fuckers on the floor would soon get annoying. Why the fuck do manufactures have to try and redesign parts that have worked perfectly for years. I give you Peugeots great idea of a pull release clutch.
The book time is 8 and a half hours which isn't surprising as a lot has to come off.
The rear main has a slight weep so new oil seal as well as new flywheel, clutch, slave cylinder and anti roll bar links. Happy fucking valentines. I got a card and a box of chocy's she gets a new clutch. About 500 quids worth of bits plus 8.5 hrs labour you can see that writing one of these off. She loves the car though and modern 7 seaters are shit compared to these old buses.1939 Hotchkiss 864
