What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

It's somewhat tired. And scrapey. Very.

After an hour and a half it now has functioning rear brakes and less scraping. Temp reprieve it seems, it needs discs and a pair of rear calipers or these refurbished (Bigg Redd possibly).

Basic maintenance not carried out.
It’s a sad thing that most people don’t really understand how to service their cars. They assume a service is an oil change.

Will the callipers free off? I’ve been red rubber greasing mine (ooeerrr) ready for winter.

Less annoying tag line.
Just when I thought I was out they dragged me back in.

Both of them are moving.
Both handbrake mechs work.
Both dusts seals are neither use nor ornament.
Half the springs clips are missing and the carriers are more crud than anything.
Sliders work ok.

A pair of new shonky ones are £39. The new carriers cost more..

Kits are available but I'm not sure whether I have the stomach for it at the moment...pun intended !

The white good mentality is getting worse.

New tyres fitted. All Season 'ovation'
I wonder if they'll make a clapping noise as I trundle along.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Me 20 year old T4 Transporter just passed mot after sitting for 11 months . New clutch, cambelt, calipers , brake cables , pads, front shox, 4 new tyres, full exhaust and cat .. battery ...cv gaiters ...bastard failed on foglight ..which did work last night . Full of water it was , I changed the bulb and it worked again , so got a pass , as well !
On 193k , i've had it from new .. £9995 + vat it was , and i'd still get a grand for it i reckon .. but it is tired , uses no oil at all , and starts first kick with no preheat .
