What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

She's from before catalytic converters, so she runs on regular gas

"Because it might work!" was the reply. The easy retort was "Well your Golf GTi was a fair bit more and has been having an engine rebuild after it blew up cruising on the motorway"...

He likened my car buying like someone running a sanctuary for injured and ill goats. Except instead of making the sick goats better, I just buy more goats. 🤨
They'll all be wanting a goat come Christmas dinner with no turkey!
Anyway your goats have catalytic converters adding value.

Took the Bentley to have a bit of bodywork done this morning and it had a flat tyre. Pumped it up but it looks like I will have to put a new set of tyres on it before I sell it. £625 for 4 new Michelins, they are getting hard to find now as most suppliers only list the Avons at 400 quid a tyre.

£620 is what I paid for four Goodyears on the XJR from memory, mine are an easier size to get though.

I had to get consent to change my sash windows to sash windows, also for the gates as they are now 6 feet high rather than 3 feet high so a carport is unlikely to be allowed.

Luckily a few phone calls has found me a car storage place in Cardiff around the corner from my neice, so if I want to take it out to play over the winter I can leave my car at hers.

I am making a list of immediate jobs that I want to do to it. First is to remove the pristine carpets and put rubber mats down, also sort the choke cable out. Some of the lights aren't working so that will be fun. Tonight will see how much it leaks when left out.
If you’ve got 6’ gates could you not put a rudimentary stealth shelter just above the height of the car ?

Ooh my god don't tell us California style political correctness now extends to learn mowers in other states?
Please say it isn't so...

No HOA rules to worry about falling foul of I assume them?

HoA rules here, I think but they're fairly slack.

However, mowers and yard equipment are rapidly requiring catalytic converters. My backpack leaf blower has one, as does my ride-on mower.

We’re doing a short break in the caravan so I was checking it. The o/s rear light seemed a bit dim so I took it off for a look. The bulb was almost totally silvered on the inside. Also the lens was full of water.
Now dryer and brighter but I don’t give a lot for its chances now as it’s currently pissing it down.

Not looking forward to tomorrow when we head home as I haven’t got any better at reversing the fucker and it has to go backwards into our drive. No matter when I do it the world and his fucking wife turn up trying to go up/down our usually quiet dead end lane. Twats.
