What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Fucksake, a lifetime collection of tools is no laughing matter. Breaking into rented garages needs to be treated as house-breaking. Not that they ever catch the cunts or that anybody reports it. I do fear for my stuff, putting any kind of supplementary lock on the garage is tantamount to painting a sign on the door saying that it's worth breaking into. What is even more annoying is that some fucker buys these things off the scrotes......

That is a nice MX5, though....

On a lot lesser scale we had a beach hut that the kids loved to use.
Then it started to get broken into and after a few years of spending my summer holidays fixing and repainting it we sold it. Some of the stuff they nicked the first time had a lot of memories attached to it. Naively we didn't think about it being broken into as it was a quiet area.
At least the kids enjoyed it for a while.

That's a shitter paul. Sorry to hear that. When I had my van crash I lost 15 years of tools between being scattered around yorkshire and the rest disappearing between recovery and being in the recovery yard. still now 4 years later I am slowly building up what I had.

I've bought a new socket set and most of the basics. I'll never get back to the amount I had though. I just try not to think about it.

I often find I need a certain tool for a job and end up buying it to replace what I had.

You have to watch out you're not buying your own stuff back, though.
