Re: What did you do today?
It seems to be alternator week here this week as I have done a Focus RS (bitch of a job) A 2004 Mini cooper (not much better) and a BMW X3 (easier) this week. Not to mention the Mondeo front wheel bearing that needed a 250 quid special tool to do the job. My customer paid for the tool as it still worked out cheaper than getting the job done by Ford.

Re: What did you do today?
I've got an Audi A4 front hub bearing to do on Saturday. As usual, the HBOL would have you take half the fucking car apart whereas a couple of Youtube videos shows that you don't.
It's actually possible without touching the front suspension and with the driveshaft in place. We shall see.

It counts as it may be used for storage of car parts. So shut it

Re: What did you do today?
Just collected a Velox crown wheel & pinion set for my van. Still in original woodshavings and cardboard packaging. It's was amongst a load of old Vauxhall parts in a farmer's barn and happily the corrosion protection seems to have held up even though the cardboard is damp and floppy.
Unusual pinions on these with extra support bearing.-

Got my xm estate back on its wheels and moved around to the front of the house. If the buyer let's me down again it's going on gumtree for 250. Shame as it drives great but needs a little bit of welding and tlc plus a MOT.

Just avoid buying anything with a new York title at the moment as it will cost at least an extra 1000 dollars to sort paperwork for exportDodgeRover wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 1:37 pm Seller isn't budging on the price of that Astro so I'm out, easier to import myself an Econoline (probably)
