If it's been looked after you should be ok with that. For me that's pretty much the cutoff point for new* cars. Hopefully better than that cheap* Volvo I bought anyway!bub2006 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:29 am I've spent the past 3 days car searching. How hard is it to find a half decent (read working) car that isn't hanging out its arse or look like biological warfare hasn't taken place inside with mot for under 500 quid? The answer is fucking very. I found one yesterday though. It was 65 mile from my house, mot till feb and it seems to drive fine.

Nice cars those. The multiplex wiring on the later ones can give some issues though. Does it have a CD changer in the boot? If that gets wet it can fuck the whole car up.

See, every time I think "ooh, one of those might be quite nice as a winter beater" I find out some stupid shit like that. I honestly think I am better off with welding bills....

Re: What did you do today?
Doesnt have the multichanher in the boot. Radio didnt pick reception up so stuck an aftermarket one in and need to get a fascia plate. Abs light comes on very briefly very occasionally, its getting ready for a service, electric seat back rest doesn't adjust but can hear motor spinning and theres some scratches and faded paint in places but not parked by braille. It's the 90bhp engine again so less to go wrong and the picasso engine will be sacrificed for spares for this. I'm not selling the picasso due to the braking issue. I dont trust humanity today to not ignore everything I say and then chuck kids etc in it,brakes fail again, they crash and try sueing me for a dangerous car.
