I was just thinking, as I'd almost read the post, those seats would look bloody nice in my Minor!
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Apparently leather seats from the original Ford Ka make great Moggie seats.mercrocker wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 10:28 pm I was just thinking, as I'd almost read the post, those seats would look bloody nice in my Minor!

Re: What did you do today?
There's a red-beige colourway on the MGF that I've seen would go nicely with the Cherokee Red/Grey interior - currently, I have Metro GTa seats on specifically built subframe mounts and these will apparently take the MGF ones.
I'm not normally a fan of mucking about with old car interiors but as there were available proper mounts (not bits of wood and eight inch long bolts) I took the opportunity to be comfortable rather than original.
Of course, the actual Morris seats are carefully stored in the loft from where I shall one day lose the strength to lift them down again before they get anywhere near the car.....

The original split screen and older seats look very comfortable. Seems like by the late 50s, BMC had decided buyers shouldn't have bolsters or padding.

Re: What did you do today?
If you take off the feet on one side on the Ka seats and put them on the front, they apparently fit the factory holes perfectly. Front is apparently a bit low if you do that, but they have more padding anyway. Also the style doesn't look too out of place either. Leather is easily recoloured to match the interior. Of course being 2dr they are designed to fold too.
Of course being Ka rust so well, there are plenty of the seats about. For now as I imagine we will see them quickly disappearing now they're getting to that age that most are scrapped.

Re: What did you do today?
Been for a week long drive (well 9 days) around the US.
Rented a VW SUV and off we went.
Yellowstone park, Rocky Mountain park and this place a day before the summer solstice. Just over 3500 miles through the badlands, dirt roads and mountain trails!
A few of these too… Tequila ice drinks with a beer thrown in for good measure.
Couldn’t get into the special pages here as I completely forgot my password and the email I used… Doh!

I've still got my Cagiva Supercity, that isn't going anywhere.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 7:42 pmWhat about a TDR 125/ 250?Arthur Foxhake wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 7:28 pm I sold my Cagiva Mito.
I hankered after one for years after I sold mine. I was 21 at the time and I thought I'd still fit on one at 38 and it'd be just like old times.
I was wrong, I can't ride small sports bikes anymore, my wrists hurt too much.
I'll keep the Supercity, I can ride that comfortably.
Good call on the TDR though, had a go on a 250 once and it was a good bike.

Still got my PXR 50 too!
Also, going nowhere. Not least because it's in bits in the shed.

Still no interest really in the mazda. I've had one that seems really keen but wants a 1.8. I've had both and can't tell the difference. I think the 1.6 is revvier and livelier. GM couldn't shake me on the track in his mk2 1.8 although I couldn't get past him on the straight.
If it hasn't gone by next weekend I'll just mothball it in the garage and buy something else.
I"d like something sporty I can leave on the street without worrying about it getting scratched or dissolving away.
I loved my saxo vts when it was current but they seem to be silly money for an unbarried one now.
