Best not look at the headlamps either.

Bugger me, I actually wielded a spanner today. Changed the wiper motor and linkage on Daughter No.2’s TT, common problem with them apparently and they’re not the same as every other Golf derived VAGshite, hence chancers trying for over £100 for one that’s as likely to expire as the one you have. Got one off a lad locally for £20 took all of 20 minutes to change, in fact it took longer to find a 10mm socket!

Damnit. Now I want to go see if I can find who owns it and ask questions.

What happened to it, stopped working entirely? (I presume it was my old TT)
All the TT wiper motors are a bit shit tbh. Even on full speed they're not very fast even brand new.

I was in there before to seal up the connection box and then the windscreen fitter. So those wiper arms should have come off nicely rather than seized on the spindle like most.

Yes just gave up. I thought it was my super mechanicking skills that meant it came apart so easily! I watched a couple of YouTube vids and both said you need a puller to get the arms off the spindles, whereas these almost fell off.
On the TT forum people say you can use the bigger motor from later TTs and pretty much every other Audi/ Seat/Skoda/ VW and probably Lamborghini, but it means splitting the linkages.

Don’t know why I’m not quoting posts, I’m sure you can work out which posts I’m responding to.
