I've replaced the stone damaged air con condenser on the Civic today. Took about 45 minutes thanks to a semblance of intelligent design. Regassed, it blew ice cold on the way home so excellent stuff.

Did the valve clearances on the 730i again as I think I did them a thou too tight last week. I didn't. But new cam cover gasket and spray bar oil feed bolts.

Minors are oversize go-karts. Avoid the early versions.

Noooooo! I'd love a pre 1954 Series II or MM, but with a decent 1098 motor/box/diff. A black 2 door please.

I should probably have a drive in a Morris Minor at some point.

My gut feeling is to fuck them off entirely... I don't like the look or the sound of them, and I've heard they can be quite asthmatic from an acquaintance that once had one.

But the proof of the pudding would be in the driving, in this case.

Many people have a dislike, even hatred of them. Granted, they were cheaply cobbled together and the saloons are basically shopping cars, but they get under your skin. There are many and diverse versions of them due to the length of time they were in production.

Which reminds me, I'm picking my old station wagon up this weekend, to which effect I went to the car parts store in Longsight and bought 4.5 litres of Comma 20w50 for £9. It does like to go through oil and will be fed this until I rebuild it soon.

I've always wanted a Moggy, specifically a Traveller. Girlfriend_70s likes them as well, which is nice.

Sadly unless I buy a basket case I don't reckon I'll be able to afford one these days.

Quite high spec, four electric windows, remote lock, heated mirrors, electric sunroof, air con. My favourite feature is the 3/4 tank of petrol it came with.

The paint is poor on the doors because the painter died inbetween the colour and clear coat (?!)

There are hardly any better ways to signal to the rest of the world that you have given up in life.

Travellers are a big pain in the arse if you want to use all year round, My Mrs had to sand down and re-do the wood every year when she ran one for work, maybe varnish used to be better in the old days.
I'd have a 2 door car and change nothing but the rear shocks- everything else, particularly the steering, works well enough. If you don't like driving the standard car nothing you can do will ever alter that.

If you think you have to modify a car to suit your taste, why did you buy it in the first place?

Excuse me, it is a 1300 SPORT. Therefore, youthful and exciting.
