The lights on my v70 were on all the time. That's when I found nightbreakers were shit and didn't last five minutes.
The light that burns twice as bright lasts half as long or some shit.

If they've got one in my nearest town it's a 26 mile round trip at minimum so that pretty well negates that ta.

New soldering iron given I'm balls deep now into Milwaukee 12v kit. I've got a gas powered one but it takes ages to heat and doesn't have a decent amount of heat mass to it either. Had a quick play and this seems to work well. Heats up quickly and hot enough to allow lead-free to flow properly.
Much less hassle for quick soldering jobs than pulling out the soldering iron station set. Bit bulky but you can still hold it with a pinch grip like a pencil.

I saw lidl had them in for their 20v batteries. £12 iirc. I don't use one often enough to splash out.
Would a soldered joint be enough for 240v? I wonder why sparkies don't use them instead of junction boxes etc.

Soldering takes longer and harder to do a good job versus crimping/clamping. Also you have to cut the join if you make a mistake.

Spec says 90w heater which is pretty decent. My professional soldering irons are 80w. It's the tip as well that needs the quality.

90w is good, I think my digital iron is 60w & seems to do everything I need.

Re-touched the edge of the driver's seat with the black polish the seatbelt sits there and wears the colour from the stitching which is just so very unsightly :) Takes about 20 seconds twice a year so about my level for exertion and skill set required is low so even a chimp can manage it!

Exact opposite here-little rust in evidence on most, but engines either fucked or removed.

Wingz from AS told me of an old school scrappy not too far from me that allows you wander round and remove parts yourself (others won't). Must go there in the near future, even though I don't need anything.

Dropped the van off this morning to have the new doors fitted. Chewed my mate about a pick up time. He wasn't sure if it would be finished today. He's just messaged telling me to come for six. Fuck that, I'm on the g&t. Boiler to do tomorrow up the street. I'll have to use the aldi.
I took the boy to my mothers in Bedlington at four. He has footie training tonight and his scooter was already there. I put some diesel in while I was there and my mate called past the pump in some white goods and beeped the horn. I'm not even sure the cunt even does any work anymore. I haven't seen him at the bodyshop for months.
