I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Now then boys & girls, time to flood you with pics. 1,730miles around Scotland & a 10 mile hike to a beach with no road to it one day. Damn fantastic week & excellent weather for it, I didn't get wet at all!

I found some large* hairpins near Loch Tay when going to the Crannog centre.

Shegra croft campsite, nice n close to the beach. Total amenities here is a fresh water tap 1/2 a mile away up a hill in a car park, but it's a fantastic spot & utterly worth it.

Sandwood Bay, it's a 4 1/2 mile walk from the road & unspoilt. There's just as much beach in the other direction too.

It's a pretty good bike for touring, unsurprisingly. Lacks a bit of torque compared to the GSX14, but then most things do. It's eaten the rear tyre though, it's ready for changing & only 4k miles old. I blame the poor surface on the Scottish roads & the factory settings for carrying luggage being useless. Took me a few days to work out some that work so the rear wasn't pogoing around over bumps etc.

That looks brilliant!

You did really well weather wise, I bet that it reminded you of the Med weather at home.

As he says, that looks like a fucking great trip. Would have been even better on a Meriden Twin.

Done that before & you're right. Still awaiting bits & a final decision about seat/electrics box before I can finish it.

This is somewhere around N Scotland in 2008.

We took a drive up to Loch Tay today and drove over that hill with the hairpins.

It was a 120 mile drive on a 2 stroke which doesn't particularly have a comfortable seat. I have some long and boring videos of some of the journey.
