Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Obviously it would be nicerer in the summer, but at least the roads were quiet.
I keep reading on Facebook about people putting their machines away for the winter and I don't understand it.
It's not bravado, motorcycle gear is so good nowadays and good tyres grip even in the wet, why wouldn't you ride all year round?
Ice and snow not withstanding it is perfectly doable.
I would have agreed 10 or 15 years ago. Not now.. Good tyres grip in the wet, but not on diesel, or mud or leaf mush. The roads are in a terrible state with the recent freeze/thaw/relentless rain. Proper good gear is very expensive, decent gear still lets in cold and wet after an hour or 2. Drivers are oblivious to motorcycles at this time of year, and specifically for me, my Tiger's headlights are properly crap. Then the good hour pulling out the hose and soapy water, then cleaning and lubing the chain in the dark after a freezing cold ride. If you leave it till later, your bike will be furry. I don't NEED to use the bike, so I don't. That's not to say I WON'T.. but I have to be in the mood, or it be a really good day.

My bike is used all year, all weather's and has been washed very infrequently, it doesnt seem to be rotting, unlike every other bike I have owned.

I let a friend have a test ride on my Bonnie in late autumn, the roads were dry but it was a bit fucking cold. Anyhoo, he rode it through some cow shit that had been left on the road (cows still need milking even in the cold... who knew?) and as it was bitterly cold, I didn't do my usual paranoid cleaning of the old girl before putting her back to beddy-byes.

The sodding expensive British-made and chromed exhaust pipes rotted like a bastard everywhere the cow poop had settled.

I might have been a silly bugger and bought a Peugeot bb n vs of approximately 1964 vintage. A pedal and pop 50cc power house. No documents, a few bits missing and needs restoring. Luckily it was very cheap. I'm running out of room in the dining room 😂 collecting it tomorrow as it's local so will post pictures if anyone is interested. Need to sell something now to put some money back in the bank.

I had a few BB's some years ago. I made good money on them as they were a really pretty design. After hunting around for a picture mine were the 104 model BB.

Mines got a horizontal tank and no stylish frame fairings like that one. From what I can gather the engines are similar. Mines more reminiscant of a fizzy design
