- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Re: Two wheels good.
Nice ride out to Southwold via Diss to meet my mate then cross country. Fish and chips on the pier then back the same way. A good day.

Re: Two wheels good.
I got some of those lug nuts Eddie named earlier in the thread & some new fairing bolts so they all matched & tarted the Strumpet up a little tonight. No one will notice but me, however the odd bolts in a few places where annoying. Even better now it's not got a nut n bolt holding the underside of the fairing, but a proper bolt now.
I even gave them a dab of threadlock having found out the genuine bolts come pre-threadlocked, I obviously didn't order them as they are silly money.

Re: Two wheels good.
Remember the state of the air filter? Well having rung my normal spares place & asked them to get one I popped in for it today, they'd ordered me a K&N as they can't source normal ones. Now I never normally bother with fancy filters as we all know they do fuck all but I figured I'd have it as it'd save money long term by not needing replacing again.
Yeah that didn't work, it doesn't fucking fit. The longest side which is at the back as fitted should be straight, but the K&N is concave by about 1/4" so it doesn't seat properly & doesn't seal. So that'll go back tomorrow & after checking around online the genuine ones are the same price as after market so I'll ring the dealer in the morning to see if they've got one. Handy for me the dealer is about 3 mile away too.
I also stripped the rear brake again as it'd go soft if not used for a bit. I couldn't find anything wrong so bled it. No air came out so gawd knows what's up with it. I'll see if it's better next time I ride it. It always works but you have to double tap it like old drum brakes if it's not been used for 10mins or so. I dunno if it did it before the new pads as I used it so little knowing it had no pads left.

Re: Two wheels good.
Well I've now got a a genuine air filter fitted, for £25. Seems a lot to me, but it solves the issue & from shopping about the only aftermarket places that list them sell genuine ones too....
The back brake is sorted too, I couldn't see anything wrong with it yesterday but I've obviously solved it which is good.
Now trying to ring the place I'm thinking of getting rear sets for Stroppy, to check they've got some before heading over. But they aren't answering the phone.
