Re: Two wheels good.
I've got a friend's bike staying with me currently, it was here for the winter but she hasn't finished clearing her shed so it's not gone home yet. After crashing mine & breaking the other she told me to use it if I wanted too, so I took it out today to see if my knee could cope. Surprisingly enough it seems to have helped my knee as it's aching a lot less tonight. 150 miles or so with zero crashes managed today & it's a fun little bike to ride too, so damn light to flick into bends & needs winding up to make it move. I'd get bored long term but it's a laugh for now.

Re: Two wheels good.
I'm quite enjoying this little Hornet, it'd be lacking as an only bike because it's too cramped & a bit low on power. But it's fun to throw around the twisties & does get a good shift on when using the full rev range. I took it to Mablethorpe & Clegvegas today, I've definitely done more miles on it than the owner now. I'll end up owing her tyres if I don't get mine fixed while the weather is good.
Don't ask, she's a mate's bird & dating a ginger so obviously mental.

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Re: Two wheels good.
I chased up the oil cooler for the Sprint today, it won't be done till next week. So much for the week they said it'd take on the tuesday before easter.
I did however get the pads changed all round & sort out the foam & foil pealing off the fairings. The rear caliper had seized on it's sliding pins, hence one worn out pad. Please tell me how they passed the MOT 300 miles ago when the garage had seen them when replacing the rear tyre first.
The front brakes weren't much more impressive, one pad had corroded to the caliper so badly I had to carefully hammer a screwdriver down the back of the pad to get it free. Thankfully the pistons were all free & working once I'd done that. Also someone has managed to lose one of the anti-squeal shims that fits over the pads at the font, the brakes are ok without it but I'll get one ordered next week when the dealers are open again.
Then I sorted the fairings, I'd degreased them a week or so ago & left them till the foam had dried. Lots of spray glue & some pegs to hold the foil down while it dries seems to have sorted it.
Now I get to ignore it for another week as I won't be able to collect the rad & oil cooler till friday, what's the betting it rains the weekend following that?

I'm considering changing the fork oil too, I've no idea if or when it's been done before so it's probably a good idea.

Yes, with no service history. So if it hasn't been done it's 4k overdue.
TBH I don't trust garages so even if they said they'd done it, I'd be likely to redo the job so I know it's done & done properly anyway.

I found the 600 Hornet to be incredibly bland to ride with a very linear power delivery.
