Re: Two wheels good.
As John says, it's a GSX1400. I don't think it's heavy, but I've had it for 12 years & over 120k so rather used to it. I believe they are about 250kg wet, but the weight is pretty low down & stable.

I think although bikes have realistically not got massively lighter over the last 20 years the balance and centre of gravity have really improved. I remember thinking R6s really felt lighter than a 125 commuter when they first came into the showroom.

Bugger! The last bolt going back in the brakes snapped off just below surface level on the caliper.
Looks like it'll be coming off at the weekend to get drilled out etc.
Ffs!

I'm just glad it's not the normal 'day before I go abroad' fixing schedule. I've got till the 29th to sort it.

Re: Two wheels good.
I got my pillar drill out along with my taps & dies, a couple of hours later I was finishing bleeding the brakes. Bit of a bugger drilling a hard bolt out of soft cheese, but I got it almost square & retapped it to the original size (M4x0.7 for those who care). I didn't have an identical allen bolt to use but tbh I don't care it's not a show bike after all.
