Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

It's a no brainer. They must be worth a fortune in bits.

92 Blade, runs, also has race body work, ex-track bike & full nearly new Akra system.
99 Blade, road bike, runs.
VTR Firestorm, has run a crank bearing so needs engine rebuild but does run.

I'm tempted, but not sure how long it'd take me to get the money back.
Interested in a blade at £400, would also quite like VTR money dependant

He can pick up my three bike trailer on his way down the M1 then drop me a bike when he drops it back.
Happy to help.

Would check the wheel bearings before a journey of that length, tyres are good but you would want to take a spare.

If they need to be collected the bloke who brought my Peugeot over does bike transport. I think he is based in Switzerland and might be bringing me something in the next month or so.

Could you let me know details please?

I think they are partly dismantled if it makes much difference.

I've just done some rough sums & looking at local hire places a LWB Transhit for a week is £340, it'd be about £300-350 in fuel too. Tunnel has to be £100 for a van? It's roughly 800miles each way So a hotel midway in each direction. That's £1k before paying £400 for the bikes, it's looking less attractive now.

I've also found out they the forks are fucked on both blades, only one fucked rear shock between them. Race bodywork is for the 92, the 99 has about half it's bodywork left. The VTR needs crank bearings which I knew about, but has managed to lose most of it's bodywork too.
