Re: Two wheels good.
Well my replacement oil lines have arrived, now I've collected them from the sorting office as the postie run off with them rather than leave with a neighbour like normal.
Guess I'd better fit them & look at that misfire.

Re: Two wheels good.
Oil pipes fitted, after cold chiseling three out of four lower bolts loose. What nutter puts Allen head bolts directly behind the rear wheel to fill up with road crap and rot? Proper bolts cut to size and fitted. I've also had to cut a bigger thread on the bracket halfway up the pipes as that bolt had fallen out and taken the thread with it.
Cuppa tea time then investigate the misfire.

Re: Two wheels good.
2-3 weeks ago we had -15 degrees during days and over 30cm snow.
Today sun is shining, 12 degrees, snow gone (usually stays till Easter) and dry roads.
First short ride of the year done.
Still too much grit on the roads to enjoy riding.

Re: Two wheels good.
Misfire found, a damn plug cap had come loose again & seemed to take out both plugs on that coil.
I went out for a short test run to the shop to pick up some new horns to fit (it's got two & they are both dead), I think accidentally took the long route home and ended up doing 100 miles. It's the first time it's run right without sticky brakes etc since I fitted that oil temp sensor & it appears to have cured the drinking problem. 70miles on the first bar of the gauge, it was down to 45-47miles till that bar had gone before.

You were close, it had to be that area as anything else would affect all pots.

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Passed the MOT. I knew it would but it’s always a slight worry that I’ve missed something stupid.
