Pah, you haven't lived until you've ridden hard enough for a rear trials tyre to turn blue and start shedding knobbles at passing vehicles.
About 60mph and 6 psi is the correct recipe, add in some spirited cornering to really frighten passers by.

Oh yes I have! We all used to run our trail bikes on MT45 trials knobblies, a Husky TE450 and a bad-tempered rider will shred one in quick order!

Thinking about it, had over a 100 on a lane once (called 'Long lane' on the way out towards Dawlish) grass that was slightly damp and a bit long had the back end squirming like a tramp in a line-up!

MT43s aren't bad on the road, I used to use old Michelin X1 trials tyres from work, mega soft compound and sidewalls they really grip once you know how to ride with them.

Did use Michelins a few times but got the MT 43 cheap as we bought in bulk through the local TRF. Had X1s on my Scorpa but it was completely wasted as I was effin useless at trials!

Might have been my Sherco actually... memory ain't what it never was.

MOT tomorrow after I get yet another rear tyre fitted on the 14. These Metzlers aren't heavy bike spec which probably explains why the rear is gone in 3.5k. I fitted some brakepads last night & I'll wipe the number plate in the morning as it's currently in full stealth mode.

My honda c90 was regularly ridden flat out in corners. Tyres had no chicken strips,foot pegas were worse away underneath and the exhaust was flat underneath too. Only did about 55 flat out but I could keep it pinned through almost every bend. I was young and daft too

New tyre fitted on 14 this morning & a clean MOT pass.

I've cleaned my PXR 50 to within an inch of its life.
It had about 30 years worth of grot all over it.
Found a few bits needing sorting whilst disassembling it, the bolt holding on the left riser had no grip, it was the wrong thread, rammed on and totally useless.
Headstock bearings were a bit loose and some cables were routed a bit odd.
I can't explain my love for this little 'ped. It's one of my favourite bikes I've had.
Over winter it's had -
New head.
New cylinder.
New piston and rings.
New clutch.
New roller weights.
New belt.

Shame I can't ride the fucking thing.
