She's liking it so it seems. Apart from swearing at it for revving it's nuts off when she forget it's got a choke. Only thing she wants to change is get the seat redone as it's rather hard. She did 100 miles on yesterday, so not bad for a first day after that long.

I can't fault Avon Storm 3DXM. Much cheaper than Michelin and great. I'm running them on my gsx1400 and after 5k the rear is just over half worn.

Bloody previous owners!

I rebuilt the carbs on the chinoAJS yesterday, found what looked like string in one float chamer so we'll see if that helps it run better. I put them back on, started it up and all sounded good. I then watched blue gasket sealant ooze of out the joint to the RH side cover followed by a nice steady flow of oil. FFS, there's no gasket in there. A previous idiot who's owned this engine had bodged it & the bodge has just failed. It's leaking way too much to ride, use or MOT so will need sorting.

Just been out on the Cagiva Supercity for an hour or so.
Was a good ride, had it leant over further than I have yet, half an inch left on the chicken strips now.
It's such good fun ragging a 2 stroke on the roads. Was with my pal on his 900 Hornet again, he is looking for a 2 stroke 125 now as well.
An indicated 150kph was achieved, reckon it'll do the ton with the right road.

I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but around some country roads I know well I couldn't shake off an Aprilia RS250 when I was riding the firm's 1998 VFR800.

I take it she rode out in front so not to be dazzled by your POLITE tabard?

Of course...

The punch I got during the day for saying I preferred to follow as her arse is better than her face was a totally separate event.
