Brain says a nice 123 or 124 4 pot is more my mark, also asSiC says prices are tumbling weekly. If Toolmaker Boy gets in will they scrap the rolling free tax like Labour did last time? Which might make prices fall even more on 80’s/90’s stuff.
I don't know but if the next government cuts taxes, then along with the expected reduction in interest rates and the elimination of the uncertainty over the government that could cause prices to harden again.
As the old saying goes: 'If not now when?', easy for me to say when it's not my brass being spent though.
S class Mercs were and still are, fucking awesome things. I've had several 116's (from a 280 to a 6,9) and apart from rust, they were all pretty much bulletproof. Bear in mind that I often ran them in my most skint times as they just carry on being neglected.
126 is a much nicer car though, but they still rust when neglected and they have a very thick underseal/plasticky stuff which covers some real horrors. I had one that looked fine and dandy until hit with a pointy stick and the front wheel wells were utterly fucked! As I'd spent far to much buying the thing, I welded it all back together, which was... tedious!
I missed the 300se , it made £5700 and sold , my high bid was £5350. I’m trying to arrange a time to see another 300se in Berkamstead, which is only 30 mins from me . It looks nice but has got rot in the front scuttle panel, spoke to a mate who does a lot of fabricating and welding on old Yank stuff and he reckons “ Less than a Grand, even if the screen and dash has to come out” he also said “ Stop being a pussy and buy something” Cunt would fit in well here.
