Re: EBay Finds
I've been to the IoM once in the quiet season, it was an utter rip off then too. I'll never go again.

That's the Isle of Wight. Easy enough to get it back just a bit of a trip. Train to Southampton/Lymington/Portsmouth and then foot passenger to IoW. At the other end ask to meet at the port or catch a taxi. Then drive home.

Re: EBay Finds
I was just curious. I need another car like a hole in the head.
I bet they ramp the prices up even more when the TT is on.

Plus you have to book tickets about a year in advance for the TT.

Re: EBay Finds
IOW crossings are actually the dearest in the world in terms of cost per mile. As per Lynehamherc, though, do foot passenger one way and it drops dramatically. Cars tend to rot more over there though, compared to less coastal areas of the South. A bit of concern if that Renner has always lived there - the number plates don't indicate that but there is a healthy demand for IOW registrations so it could have lost that.

You're picking up chadders senility
Could be worse a few here are getting confused with two very different governed islands and the other ends of the country.

IOM cars are at least driven properly as they have areas without any speed limits.

My Sister-in-law has relatives there and a couple of years ago my brother visited and was looking forward to setting a hire car lap record on the TT circuit. “ Don’t hire a car “ her relatives said “ We’ll lend you something”Warren t claim wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 2:06 amIOM cars are at least driven properly as they have areas without any speed limits.
