"jpg"? Unhelpful? Whatchatalkinbout?
I could only view it as .html for some reason.
Probably because I'm a technocripple (despite having an MSc in computing...lol)
Was that in the days of paper tape then?
coughs.
I used to use both paper tape and punched cards on a NC machine as late as 1992.
Where my sister gets carpets made on a jacquard loom that uses punched cards to this day.

I'm pretty sure I was still Telex-ing shipping orders to Europe around that time, using saved message tapes. You had to ring Poland in the morning as well because the telephones would be off-power by early afternoon.....We had a fax machine and that took bloody ages too.

Well that smartarse comment of mine backfired then.
I remember punched cards from being a trainee COBOL programmer in 1978 but have never used paper tape.

I keep some of my tools in punched card drawer cabinets that were being thrown out in late 1992.

What's going on with the early model pedal layout? Is that a hand throttle?
Got it now. I should read all the posts instead of just the last one.

No, just a button type pedal. Its uncomfortable keeping your foot on them for any length of time. (I had another lorry with this arrangement).

Someone explained to me how those things worked repeatedly and I just couldn't get it- and they've only got two gears for Christ sake!
