I like them but must be an early one in a pastel colour on steels. That 1978 200D I had was spectacularly slow.

That thing you had was an alternative for walking I guess.

A 70 grand car given to a local college?

I wonder what the real story is?

When I did my city and guilds at Harlow college in the mid 80's they had a brand new Senator for us to play with. I can't remember how they got it but it had fallen off a transporter and had roof damage. It wasn't too bad as it still drove and was good enough for us to pull apart every week, it made a change from swapping pads in an Allegro.

Possibly donated by BMW for the students of tomorrow to learn on a modern car tech? Maybe the local BMW dealer had a thing with the local college and to poach cheap newly qualified technicians.

Our local college got all the crashed and broken into cars from the Thatcham test centre.

My guess is either some sort of tax write off/charitable donation and/or someone wanting some brownie points in local politics.

This was gone before I could get it, again same seller as the 16/60 and 2.8i Ghia X wagon.

Could have afforded it too.

East Park Primary School?

yeah, yeah, 77 Hollington Rd on Streetview looks (shall we say?) "classy"
