There must be a certain type of owner who bought a Farnham Estate then had it stored on the property just in case as so many have survived!

They were useful old tools, I suppose...! The petrochemical plant near where I grew up had a couple of Consul estates and one survived until at least 1969 in the vehicle maintenance workshops. I remember it because a fella in our road used to bring it home for lunch each day....

Kind of, Squire....Fawley as you know was the largest oil refinery in Europe for many years. A host of dependent chemical, synthetic and gas installations sprang up in neighbouring villages, along the Southampton Water. The Connie belonged to one of those.

Interesting. Whenever I go to Beaulieu I take a tour of the roads nearest to the sea in the New Forest. Or just aimlessley wander about sometimes. When I was at Gosport a few years ago we used to go up to Lee on Solent and Stubbington to the beaches and idly sit there for hours, just watching the ships go by and studying the giant refinery 'across the water'.

Let me know next time you are down here - there is a lot of interesting stuff to see along the Water. An electric WW1 munitions loco still chatters a narrow-gauge railway up and down Hythe pier as it has for the past 100 years or so and there are still D Day remnants to be seen around the area.

Buckteer on the beige might be a bit of a nob but just look what he found.

As you would expect over there now no one is interested in it but for 1200 quid it looks a bit of fun. Better not invest my bounce back loan on it though but I am tempted

Please don't do that luckily I am sober at the moment but I do know a bloke who moved to Hungry a few years ago who I am sure could broker a deal if I was that stupid.
I really am my own worst enemy I have just put a request on Shiply to see how much to get it shipped over here

Understatement of the year! It'll take some going to beat that as an early entry.
