The P4 is far too good for you.
They are lovely old things and very undervalued.

It won't be after he's tapped it with a corrosion testing tool

Once I've done both the Nevermite and Bodgeit-Spridget, I think I may sell the BGT. Quite tempted if I replace it, with something >4cyl classic and possibly more wafty. If I'm on my own - usually an evening drive, I'll happily hoon a car hard. Both of those will satisfy that desire.
Where as if I'm with Mrs SiC, I usually find I just potter around. Not least I get moaned at when she's been thrown out of the seat when chucking a car about. For that type of driving something like a P4 or even a P5 (if I'm feeling spendy) would I think work quite well in that role.
The Rover 90, with its slightly more serious look, I think would my the preferred example of the model. That being said, that black 100 above does looks dignified.

That seller is asking not far off P4 money as well.

It is. A lot of self-storage places use them although it is the last place I would keep a car....Poorly ventilated, usually, and dripping with condensation.
