Spanish hearse thread now with six appeal

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Like this but probably thinner to take into account the lack of height

And then the battery would need recharging, which is fine if you're going to go somewhere a distance away before you need it again.
Mine is 110AH and recharging it is not the work of a moment.

When I was selecting my inverter sine wave was the most efficient and also the most expensive type.

There's good reasons why campers use gas for cooking even though it means finding space for a cylinder.

I would go for one of those little gas cookers, we've been using one waiting for the Howdens sale for the new kitchen and they are ok, depending on what you are doing you can get through a fair few cartridges of gas but they aren't expensive.

What you need for the Dodge kitchen is a pull-out wooden box...say 7ft long by 2ft square. Maybe with a couple of handles each side and a lift up lid....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

They're all sine wave to a degree otherwise they wouldn't be AC...

On a load like a hob, it's not going to make much difference to total efficiency. They're either resistive or a simple inductive load. It's inductive loads like a motor that require a particular waveform to run the best.

Hence the long pull out draw I said above. But given the size of this, it's realistically only a 2 person tent on wheels with extra amenities. Just needs enough facilities for a breakfast or tea break, which it's probably all its got room for.

The steel work is now just about done and hopefully over the weekend my mate is going to help me board out a large chunk of it to see what we have. It will have a mains hook up so induction hob might get built into the sliding rear tray. The tray out the back will make a table and base for a portable gas hob. I am just thinking about giving it a couple of options. It isn't the most spacious of places and really would be better for a slimmer and fitter owner but hell if I can just about squeeze in it then I am sure it will appeal to the younger fitter types. I will have to fit a surf board rack on the roof.

Good luck with that-I've been in my house two years and still keep changing my mind on its layout.

It will be a great camper.

At the end of day one this is where we are at. Nothing screwed in yet and some of the angles weren't quite right with the metal work but it is getting there.
