Re: Panhard's Panhard
It does look smiley doesn't it?
A bit different from the usual aggressive, 'get the fuck out of my way', fronts on new cars.

Re: Panhard's Panhard
Yeah it is a happy looking car and is certainly getting some love, as well as a lot of cash at the moment. I can see it turning into a bit of a money pit but hopefully it will be a keeper.

But, but, but.
Fumes in the car are absolutely essential in a car that can't drip oil from a leaking rocker cover gasket onto an exhaust manifold. You deprive yourself of some wonderful smells essential for the wholesome old car experience.

Breathing exhaust fumes also gives you the near death experience without needing to try to keep up with modern traffic.

Re: Panhard's Panhard
The car's looking really nice- there needs to be a picture of the dash from the driver's perspective though, it's intriguing!
There's also a difference between stinking of rich exhaust, getting carbon monoxide poisoning and merely enjoying the ambiance of hot oil, hot brake fluid, hot oily dust and hot insulation.

Re: Panhard's Panhard
Oh don't worry about the old car smell it certainly has that without even running. In fact it is probably the worst smelling car I have ever had. I am sure something has died in there, I must get round to removing the front seat and pressure wash it then hopefully it might start smelling a little better. I will sort out a dash pic next week once I put it all back together.

Also, you reversed the rear lights? I see it arrived with the orange on top now it's upside down
(When was it the French decided their rear lights should never be white and ended up with orange brakes and reverse lights and other nonsense?)

Re: Panhard's Panhard
Ahhhh the rear lights are now how they should of been. The sun had got to them and they had faded back to orange.

Re: Panhard's Panhard
Gotcha, the original photo of it on the trailer makes the lower portion of the lights look more red than it actually is.
They look much better now!
