I thought with them it was if the engine will make it rather than the amount of fuel?

The engine was really fit. No smoke or untoward noises. I reckon it must have had some coin spent on it in the past.

It has a bit of a smoke to itself if you let it idle from cold. Doesn’t do it straight away.
If you drive off and let it warm up it’s fine

Set about this with a load of all purpose cleaner and much scrubbing today. It shows quite a few of its 201k miles inside!
Lots of this kind of thing which was very satisfying
I’m no detailer but it’s far more presentable now!
Carpets could do with a shampoo but I couldn’t be arsed today.
Did paint up and fit two more parking sensors at the rear so they’re all matching now - much better. They’re all exactly the same in terms of how responsive they are now so they actually work properly!

Had a look at the washer bottle when I was fucking about the other day. The main leak is now from the top pump which is for the headlight washers, now that I’ve sorted the leak at the front of the car which was the connection in the bumper to said washers.
Pump works, so it’s just the seal that needs changing. Figured I’ll do both at once because it’s a pain in the arse.
£32 for basically three o-rings (they’re a bit more elaborate than that) from Audi. Robbing bastards, but it’ll be worth it if it sorts it.

They are taking the piss with the prices. It seems they get them at trade then times it by 200.
Maybe even more.

I guess the real issue with parts like that is that it’s only really old shitters or badly accident damaged cars that need them - so they’re sitting in a warehouse somewhere for years and years with nobody needing them
How often does the seal for a washer pump really fail?

If that's the case they should be giving the fuckers away to clear the space.

But then people would complain that they're not available.
Isn't there an EU law that says that manufacturers have to provide parts for 10 years after a specific date?
