The Shogun has literally cost nothing, but has barely been used.
I just changed the injector seals and washers on mine but I used shit pattern parts which haven't sealed very well so going to fit genuine ones instead. Apart from some new rear shocks and giving the chassis a good coat of Dinitrol it's been pretty good this year.

2 years ago next week, the first of the injector seals failed. My specialist didn't want to take it on in case it didn't go straight forward, resulting in no car over Christmas, but all 5 injectors came out without effect. Mind you, I've spent a fortune on Forte products on it over the years.

I invested in a Hawkeye Total. I was able to diagnose the engine issues (mainly MAF and MAP sensors) and touch wood it’s been pretty good ever since.

Ideal really as I can fit my scooter in it and being an auto I have no issues with my bad leg, seats are really comfy and boot is large. A bit thirsty but it's to be expected, low mileage and overall fantastic condition with no rust. I'd like to keep this one and with the history, mileage and condition I've no reason to get rid.
I looked at a 04 Ford Focus 2.0 Ghia manual estate the other week, 60k miles. Guess how much? Ok, I'll tell you, £3,995.

Incidentally, my old gaffa has just took a wheel chair converted Berlingo in chop if that's of any interest for your scooter?
I'm managing ok with the focus but thanks. It's insured at 950 valuation but from Prices I've seen it may need updating value at renewal. Mine has under 46k on clock and its auto. I'm looking into fitting cruise control at the minute. 4k is a lot of money but od reckon I couldn't replace mine like for like for under 1500. I paid 60p for mine with mot till July.

Started with two cars a '71 Saab 96 and a '75 Datsun 120Y and ended up with......zero cars. So what the fuck am I here for?
Ah yes, the sparkling wit and endless banter of the lentil cave and of course plenty of VILE HATRED.
I am still waiting to get into a new residence of decidedly small proportions but with the added bonus of two, yes two parking spaces and hoping for the opportunity to purchase an aging crock of some sort to mooch about in next year.

Start of year:

1959 Chevy Impala, owned it for nigh on 33 years so it's a keeper (unless someone offers huge amounts of cash for it). You always see that in magazines, some deluded idiot has their mundane car featured and says that someone at a show offered them 50k for it but they wouldn't sell it. Yeah right.

1959 Ford Anglia 105E, owned for a mere 21 years, must use it a bit more next year.

2000 Nissan Primera 1.8 Sport, mine for 10.5 years

2001 Nissan Primera 1.8 estate, parts car

End of year, as above but with the addition of my new car, a 2009 Focus 1.8 five door. This is the replacement for my faithful companion the Primera Sport which sadly failed its MOT in November. It cost me 550 quid so I guess I got my money's worth, should get a bit for it from either a Primera licker or more likely from one of the guys that knock on my door wanting to buy the estate. Both will be moving on next year, no plans to buy anything else.

2004 WReX is soldiering on. Bought for $2k, though I’ve put $1k in brakes and part worn tyres on it. Not bad for 20k miles in a year though.
My car most likely to die in 2022 (if it makes it to the New Year).

1986 911 Carerra gone after 3 years in a moments madness to buy the 1968 912.

Finally brought my 94 Caterham 7 crossflow across the pond (after a good year and a half, languishing in my uncles garage) which has cost just short of $4k shipping… don’t tell the Mrs(!)
I have owned an Ariel Atom for a little over 5 years and it’s only done 210 miles. Now the Caterham is here, that will be for the block in 2022.

Bought a 2016 F Type R and managed to sell it without loosing my shirt - but the monthly payments (loan and insurance) were a real drain. Something I won’t do again.

Something winter worthy and 4x4 in the future, to substitute for the WReX in 2022. Can’t see me wanting anything different than the 912 and Caterham otherwise. Looks (912) and fun drive (Caterham).

Did you ever get anywhere unravelling the alternative ID, it would be funny if it was a massively desirable plate.....
