Kinda, it means the rain gets in so things rot more. Plus the smell can get out.

Bin men miss collecting my bin at least once a Month.. On one occasion I asked the Council why the Bin collection has got so bad when for the last 10 years it's been bad but now it's shocking, they said it's not bad but they have new contractors so they need to learn the route.. Even getting the Crew to return takes up to a week so what's the point.. NO Christmas box from me.. Shit box perhaps..

I have the same problem with Biffa. They miss at least one collection a year every year. (trade waste so only emptied once a month) It is very rarely the crews fault usually some manager has decided to mess around with their routes just to give themselves something to do. It then goes back to normal collections for just long enough for me to of stopped noting down when they have been collected and they mess with it all over again.

We have just had a letter from the council to say we can forget bin collections between 19th December and 6th January. That's OK, we won't have any turkey bones, wrapping paper, bits of old pate or ridiculously inedible cheese gifts from the garden centre to get rid of or anything, will we?

Good job we have Biffa at work....
