Love the collection
it kind of reminds me of the old days growing up where somebody would have several cars in their driveway and put the best one into use then if anything failed put another into service
If you have the space its the way to go
If I had the space I would have a fleet of TAX/MOT Exempt cars as thats the way to go now for a fleet to cost you sod all just to sit there when you cant use them

I'd have more cars but the road tax soon mounts up, I'm an old git so insurance generally isn't much and I'd get a multicar policy anyway.
I still MOT both my exempt cars, or rather will once the MG is back in one piece, as I think for 50 odd quid once a year it's worth it for someone else to check it over and properly test the brakes.

I think I'm around £150 a month to tax and £130 for insurance so probably amounts to what regular people spend on their one financed modern car.
It's a bit daft to tax them all at the same time but it's more convenient to be able to just jump in whatever car I feel like without having to think about anything.

I was getting a horrible grinding from the Chevette's brakes so ordered new pads.

They were right down to the metal on the drivers side. It was a fairly painless/quick job which was just a case of removing the pins, clips then extracting the pads with some pliers. I did manage to snap a G-clamp when pushing the pistons back in on the caliper.

After that I set about patching up a couple of areas under the drivers seat which seemed to flex a little bit. No pics of the welding but just imagine the above pic with square patches and loads of pigeon shit...

No, I forgot to remove the reservoir cap before I started. As soon as I removed the cap they went in quite easily.
