Re: Never mind the Gas Crisis heres the Wobstang!
Never thought id be writing this but I am seriously thinking of selling the Mustang
I could give you all a reason but they are numerous
Sam's Illness,Dad's ill and Mum has Dementia and somewhere down the bottom my own mental wellbeing.
Not sure my heart is in it anymore?
I always wanted a Mustang II ever since I was little I have had one and nobody can ever take that away from me but ive got the van on the go and I am just not sure the mustang fits anymore?
In some ways I think I waited too late in my life to have one I should of done it 20 years ago
And also with doing the van in a redneck couldn't give a toss way I have found it really liberating.
Shitey was fun but once I went down the road of nice paint EFI etc etc the fun has gone out of it!
Once the Van is done there's only one car left on my bucket list a Mk1 Cortina and the cost is prohibitive now so not sure ill ever have one?
Will I finish the car?
Who knows?
What with the whole Covid BS its not the best time to be selling stuff but hey maybe I need to walk away for my own sanity?
Ill keep you all in the loop
Jo

Seconded/thirded....It is not eating anything, the weather won't kill it for at least another four months. You may be living in a different world by then....
A mate of mine had a Mussie 2 and out of the dozens of Yanks he's owned it is the one he misses most, largely because it gave a great big dose of V8 Seventies goodness without taking up half the street and unable to fit in a garage.

Holy Wobstang Batman an Update an actual real boni fide Update
So Shitey is still covered up but the spare better dash has been standing up on end in the corner of the bedroom collecting dust for 2 years!
Operation interior begins!
Small steps but with the weather we have been having you take what you can get!
Couple of years ago as I started getting better condition replacement trim but in several colours i tried and failed to get a colour made up to make everything match
At the time everybody on Mustang groups were saying you need SEM Colour Coat.
Easy for them to say being in the states but try getting it over here
I tried everywhere that sold it in USA no dice they wouldn't send it to the UK
Then the shipper who brought Shitey over threw a lifeline
Classic Industries in the states sold it in the correct Ford Mid Metalic Blue and my shipper has a base in Florida, and Classic Industries have a branch in Florida
They had 5 cans in at the time I bought the lot,my shipper got them and shipped them in a car in a container and then Plandemic 20 and nothing got done
Fast forward to now Says you must use everything SEM or your head would fall off
You know the Drill?
For hard plastic you need to clean with SEM Soap,Then SEM Grease remover,Then SEM Adhesion Promotor
Of Course you do
I scrubbed up with Stardrops
Degreased with Upol Panel Wipe
and Used Mipa Adhesion Promoter
And all is well I have counted all my fingers all there
And the Webbed feet?
Yes they are still webbed
Dash was a copper coloured so in case there was any reaction i just recoloured the ashtray
And glovebox lid
Here is the ashtray against the Dash to show what colour it is now,it shows up like diarrhea tan but honestly its copper
Drying off nicely in the Van now
And the reason I'm doing this, the better dash is Copper, then there's an Avacado Dash Top and Console
The rear quarters are different again.as are the c pillar covers
Its a race against time as the paint is on the turn and I am not doing it again after how hard it is to get it to the UK

Hope so
Its still got no headliner cant be bothered with taking out screens etc so thinking of making a hard FG one and covering it with original headliner material
Hoping to get it uncovered in next week or so when the whether brightens up got to drain the tank the fuel is nearly 2 years old.
But these small jobs are a start
