It puzzles me a bit how it's always you who manages to expose himself to such atrocities.
You sure have a talent in this regard.
I'm certain there were enough events going on in Munich simultaneously that were actually worth attending.

It was the BMW 100 Years event and I had a free invite, being the executive that I am.
Regarding more interesting things in Munich; the Hofbrauhaus is always open I guess and the open top bus tour was quite good.
Were BMW a Hamburg based company, they'd have had The Eagles, Nena and Kraftwerk. Anything but Simply Red and the German Elvis.

I saw posters for a David Hasselhof concert in Innsbruck the other day, not historical ones either. They appear to still be buying tickets to see him!

Don't scoff the Hoff.
Germans are strange fellows. Witness Herbert Groenemeyer, him from Das Boot:
It grows on you, like moss on a Morris Traveller.
Mind you, he's better than David Gray, Josh Fucking Groban or most of these whining singer songwriter farts.

But back on subject - Elvis' 507 would have been so much better if it had an engine dropped in, was made road legal and left it at that. Now it's brand new, no longer old, with nothing touched by the hand of The King. It's only hope is if Lisa Marie buys it and uses it everyday, ashtrays overflowing and road shit down the sides. Alas.....
