One of my customers has got a mk1 clio van he wants to shift. It is a very rare motor now and although it is not in the best of health and on 200k miles Mattewsons said they could sell it for him right up until he mentioned the mileage then he said the bloke got arsey and wouldn't touch it. I should really ask on here if anyone wants it but to be honest I doubt it as it is worth a couple of hundred over the bridge and no one really wants a 200k clio van with a suspect headgasket.

A HPI check shows that I'm still the owner, so its not like the tax reminder was sent incorrectly. I should have had a tax refund.

Too late now but your best chance of selling that was in Brum. There's still a strong following for anything Rover there. It might not command premium prices but if any good it'd live on.

I couldn't be on selling it from the door. I'm working most weekends, the thought of waiting in for a tyre kicker was too much to bare.

This was the craic with the documentation for the Rover. I entered it in June. It sold 10th July. I got the tax reminder Thurs just gone. I phone Matthewsons yesterday. They had the documents in front of them. They said it sold to the Trade. I've been paid out. So why have the documents in front of you 4 or 5 weeks after the sale? They gave me the V5 document number and told me to SORN it. I asked them if they did this digitally. They said yes. So why ask me to SORN it myself when A) they usually complete the paperwork electrically, like every other auction house in the world and B) why ask me to SORN it when its been sold to Trade or otherwise? Somethings not right.
And I've still got Irishmen phoning for it, although I've no idea where its advertised at?

Seller's responsibility, who are the auctioneers in this case.

I don't let the buyer do the paperwork having been stung in the past.

I'm religious on paperwork, but foolishly thought they'd be on the ball.
