Insurance renewal.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Insurance renewal.

Post by fraser »

Looks like the new law making insurance companies give existing customers the same deals as new ones it working.
Just got my renewal for the BMW - £230 from me existing provider. Confused.com can get it down to £224.
Fuck the hassle, I'll just let it renew automatically!

i got the renewal through the other day for the mini's and metro, cos they are all on the same classic-crap-multi-heap-agreed-worthless policy and that fookin' thing has gone up £100 compared with last year!

though as its the 3 little shitboxes which may/may not actually get used this year i am going to just renew it and be damned.

but even so another friggin' £100......
2015 Fiat 500 Heinz 57 - new car to me
2001 Rover 75 Estate - 220,000 miles & out
1997 Rover Mini Cooper Sport - running again!
1989 Austin Metro - also running again.
1974 Morris Mini 1000 - older than me, and in better condition :D

I'm insured with one call for the transit. They quoted me over £500 to add the relay. I went on go compare and guess who came up cheapest. £400 as a new policy. Robbing cunts.

I fell out with onecall. You can only communicate with them over their website text chat now. All well and good in theory but when they take ten minutes between responses, it gets painful quickly. Especially when trying to declare modifications on a classic.

My transit insurance auto-renewed last week. £190 but it's been off the road for months. I must have missed an email presumably.

I've been booking insurance thru Quidco when I remember to. £35 back each time so it's better than a kick in the nuts.
