Re: Land Rover Rustorashun
part 3, last for this set
this is the battery surround and air filter holder, was covered in plasticote over rust. soon cleaned back, epoxy primed and rattle canned satin black here is the pin of Exmoor ale bought from Natasha the Beer Lady who is trying to minimise losses. Took 3 of us 2 days to empty this baby New door top sections hanging up for paint. Used a satin finish for them so they do not stand out too much bolting wings up is pretty straight forwards, think giant meccano electric soon enabled to the corners, only really the wiper and flasher that are not working wiper is fucked, replacement is available pattern part passenger door top fitted out with new channels and glass, nice couldn't get a decent brake pedal, going around adjusting the drums and one adjuster on the passenger rear just turns, doesnt push the show far enough to lock the drum. gah, apart it comes again then needed to adjust the servo pushrod that fits into the end of the master, only it was seized up, had to remove the servo to free it up. all working now with a good pedal. Get it started tomorrow!

I think we should all stand on our doorsteps and give Richard the clap for his heroic efforts in saving the beer from going to waste...

That is indeed a great effort, particularly saving the beer.

I've got the same flare tool. How did you manage to break it?
It's handier than the Sykes Pickavant one I have.

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun
that tool had done every flare on at least 3 Range Rovers and almost every one on a series. Plus a few more as well.
I was nipping up the 10mm nuts on the top and it just went crack and fell apart in my hand! No I didn't have the torque wrench in my hand
I much prefer this style to the other types because you preset the pipe length perfectly every time.
I think it was a casting fault

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun
Those 10mm bolts need to be tight otherwise the pipe moves. I could imagine stripping a thread, but not bursting it apart!
