Just to demonstrate how clean the mechanical are on this Range Rover, these are the brake pipe clips on the rear axle. the rust is surface and can be rubbed off with a finger. 2/3 of these screws undid! Never ever ever had that

Rear axle strip down in progress, the diff will stay in place until all the surface is clean and prepped and then I will pull it and set tolerance. The nearside / long driveshaft was a bastard to remove, the splines at the diff end are showing signs that it was very very abused

With the axle stripped to this, I can see no welding. Diff pan will need to be checked. Easy to lift onto the bench etc

Removed the front axle, chassis is heavy but can be shifted around. need to finish welding, cleaning and then paint the bastard. rust.co.uk epoxy 1-2-1
