Re: What Yas Your Wedding Car?
A 1985 3.4 XJ6 with cloth seats , because it was the only car at work that wasn’t dark blue or black. My brother drove my Grandma to the wedding in” my” brand new 420 SEL , which led to the Transport Manager laughingly asking “ Who the fuck was driving the Chairman’s Merc ?” When he saw it at the reception later.Things were a bit more laid back in 1988.

Re: What Yas Your Wedding Car?
I had a 1979 Series 2 in white that was bought from the banger auction for £260 (I think) back in 1988. It was taken in part ex at the Lada dealers which caused many auction ring sniggers when that was announced. It was an auto with deep red cloth trim and no toys at all. Any drive with friends in it usually involved at least one person hanging out of the window performing a Whitesnake tribute.NorfolkNWeigh wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 1:09 pm A 1985 3.4 XJ6 with cloth seats , because it was the only car at work that wasn’t dark blue or black. Re: What Yas Your Wedding Car?
Some wedding pics....This is MKIII as I don't particularly want to mush around in the detritus of previous lives that are safely stored in the attic!
Mrs Rocker's carriage (only fair she used this as I swapped her Micra for it almost as soon as I moved in)
That's our CF ambulance behind it. The girl across the road stood with her Dad's A4 now has an S-Line TT of her own!
I used the Minor to get myself to the Registry, Mrs R. and I left in it afterwards and somebody drove her Merc to the reception (can't remember who!)
The E28 is my mate's who was best man.
Honeymoon was two-part - a week in Memphis and a week in Vegas. We didn't bother with a renter in Memphis as everything is pretty close by but did take a road trip into Arkansas and down the levees in a '55 Caddy. This is returning to Memphis across the state border on the Mississippi Bridge....
Onto Vegas and the Chrysler Sebring, seen here in the Valley of Fire...
