Completely random I know but I regularly think what would folk from older TV series drive if set today. Jerry and Margo from a good life would probably have a volvo v70 or xc90,Richard and hyacinth would probably be driving around in a honda jazz while onslow would likely have a ropey mk3 mondeo. The likely lads red chevette would probably be a dacia logan or sandero.

Yes I can see Jerry in a modern Volvo , it would have to be at least a Hybrid preferably full electric, That’s what smug middle class fuckers have to have these days- it’s the law.

Thelma would never allow something as shit as a Dacia on the drive , the Chevette and Viva before it were very aspirational in the 70’s and would equate to a white PCP BMW or Audi today.
Bodie and Doyle would have to have something from VAG or BMW like most real life Coppers and Spooks today, after all real Old Bill in the 70’s had Fords including 3.0S Capris and RS2000s, I’m thinking a Golf R and a 140i BMW. With Cowley being driven in a VRS Superb.
In the early 80’s old Capris were seen as dodgy, likely untaxed and uninsured , throwaway drug running type cars- black e46 Coupe with black windows, for Terry . A Lexus LS430 for Arthur.
