Hey lads, remember when I was cock-a-hoop with my '58 Series II? How it was the bollocks, and it was exactly what I wanted, and how the only thing I would ever want to replace it with would be a Series III Stage 1 V8, which are like rocking horse shit, and the only ones left are restored and £££, so that's never going to happen?
Well:
Stage One (Two)

Think we're up to 11 now.
Needs restoring, but it's mega straight - an incredible stroke of luck has landed me a secondhand, never fitted, V8 specific galv chassis for 1500 quid. Coming tomorrow!
No sir, the V8 models got some exclusive obnoxious colours from elsewhere in the BL range.

Re: Stage One (Two)
Good on you!
I really wanted a series Landy (or a Defender at a push) but had to settle on the Jeep.
You can die out here if something breaks down on you in the middle of winter and the Jeep is (slightly) less likely to being used as a daily as opposed to a Landy.
The Mrs think the Jeep drives terribly and can’t understand why I like it so much. For sure she wouldn’t have understood an early Land Rover.
Hope you post its rejuvenation. That way we can all live vicariously through you!
Edit: And of course because I mentioned reliability, my brand new Jeep (1 week) goes and sh!ts it’s transmission.
Should have bought a series Land Rover.
