Re: Got Pissed. Bought A Car I Don't Need.
They're all a bunch of shady cunts as well you know.
My Nan had a bump in the MGB many years ago on a back lane about half a mile from her house, a feed wagon driver slid into it in a truck, she'd stopped and put the car in the hedge. He admitted liability, very sorry, they swapped details. I was there that evening when he rang, I took the old cordless in to her and listened in on the convo on the kitchen phone I'd answered on. He admitted it again, very sorry, job done...
Next thing you know there's a letter from his firms insurers claiming 50/50 She was proper old fashioned and very put out by this as it was just not the done thing. I wrote a strongly worded letter saying I'd witnessed the convo, you shouldn't be trying to do over a pensioner, if you try it I'll see you in court.
They rolled over straight away
It must be worth 1500/1750 at least if they are offering 1250? I've doubled the value of a 350 quid offer and kept it in the past.
They're all fleecing cunts.

What a cunt he is though for going through the insurance in the first place. With a bit of luck his excess will be £500 or above.

Tbh I've always gone through the insurance as less hassle for me. But admittedly every claim I've had, it's not been my fault.

TOP TIP! Never threaten it unless you mean it. I had this discussion with an *ahem* motoring journalist a couple of years ago. He was all high and mighty. He lost.

Still awaiting a payout from Churchill Insurance. Apparently, they are about the slowest to pay out.
