Rattle Can Painting (and use of strimmers etc)
Whenever I rattle can anything I just press the nozzle and point the fucker at the car/van/bike. Watching Wheeler dealers recently I noticed Ed China continually pressing and releasing the spray button - how does that work?
And on an associated note - if I'm using the petrol strimmer, pruner etc, I start the fucker up, pull the throttle to max (or near) and get on with it- but I keep seeing(and more often hearing) people putting the revs on and off all the time like a kid with ped at some traffic lights.
What am I missing?

You let go of the aerosol spray at the end of each stroke as you slow down and will get a thicker build up if you didn't.

I did the front arch of my last transit. Sanded it down, rust treated it, primed it, painted it and then laquered it. I made a great job and you really couldn't tell and it was metallic.
It lasted about four weeks and the rust started coming back through the paint in little blebs.
I fucked it off and bought the custom which is galvanised. We all know what happened next.

I really do wish I'd just kept it.
Even if I got it resprayed every year for the next ten years it would still have me cost less than that fucking custom.
