Yes either that , or a few zig zag beads of silicone ( black obviously or sikaflex )around the tyre leave to set and they're good to go.. Much wiser to do that than just drawing tread on with a marker pen .. That's stupid

Why have I never thought of that before?
One of the guys who raced super Moto used to take the scrap tyres from the shop and recut them for track use, pretty sure he had a regroover like they use on truck tyres.
A mate used to do that with tyres on his XR4i, then spray them to hide the canvas. They only lasted a week or two at best anyway.

Seriously though, those bits of wire that poke out are sharp little bastards. Thick gloves are needed!

Bought a brand new ex mod wing for this today, it's got surface rust as for some reason they had them only partially covered in protective grease. A good sand down then rust convertor should see it ok.
It was that cheap compared to a new pattern one (that no doubt wouldn't fit anyway), I'm wondering if I should get another just in case.

Oh tyre update too, drove it with the new ones on the back, they seem round and the ride seems a little less noisy.
Probably my imagination.

I always find roundness is good in a tyre.

MOT time and I was nervous.
Failed on front discs and pads, a track rod end, exhaust blowing along with it being a bit smokey.
All done and magic potion along with not leaving it idling before testing fixed the emissions for long enough to gain a pass.
