My diesel claim .com

Anyone tried this? Just seen an advert on the telly about it. The amount of cars we go through we could all have gold granny exes virtually over night.

I believe that it hasn't been through the courts yet and very unlikely to win the case in the UK. As the emissions cheat made the cars cheaper to tax here it's hard to prove any one lost anything by it.

Good thinking.
I thought that they would fight for you and just take a percentage of what they won.

I've got a mate who slipped in the swimming baths last year and cracked a rib or two. He used a vulture and they won £7k of which they promptly took half. Still better than a poke in the eye with a stick.

This has been going for years hasn't it?

By the way gold granny annexes are grossly overrated, they're rather tacky and louche. Imagine a footballer's or plumber's wife's sense of taste.

As a non-diesel driver and some time pedestrian, I was thinking of putting in a claim against local VW owners for polluting my air.

It makes about as much sense legally speaking as what that bunch of ambulance chasers are proposing.

It follows on from the sucessful claims in the US of A against VAG. Originally it was just against them here and a couple of UK legal firms have been slowly taking the case against VW through the courts here. They have made some progress, courts having ruled that if other courts say it was a cheat device then it was here as well and a few setbacks as VAG have won their side of the arguements.
Obviously, where there's money to be made the band wagon follows, hence the tv adverts.

I'm still struggling to see what the car owners have lost. They got the same car, plus cheaper tax. If anything they won from it.
